For the 2023 edition of Art Basel Hong Kong, GRAY is pleased to participate in the fair’s Galleries sector. The gallery will present important works from its program of eminent Modern and contemporary artists such as Jim Dine, Theaster Gates, David Hockney, Rashid Johnson, Alex Katz, Carrie Moyer, Jaume Plensa, and Evelyn Statsinger.
Highlights from the presentation include a multimedia sculpture by Theaster Gates, whose monographic exhibition, Young Lords and their Traces, was recently on view at the New Museum in New York; a selection of iPad paintings from David Hockney’s most recent series, 20 Flowers and Some Bigger Pictures, which were exhibited at GRAY; and new landscape paintings by Alex Katz, whose survey exhibition Gathering, was recently on view at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
Founded in 1963, GRAY is located in Chicago and New York. The gallery is known internationally for Modern and contemporary art, representing some of the most significant artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. GRAY participates at Art Basel in Basel, Art Basel in Miami Beach, Art Basel in Hong Kong, Art Busan, EXPO Chicago, Art Singapore, and ADAA’s The Art Show.
