The Morgan Library and Museum's exhibition Conversations in Drawing: Seven Centuries of Art from the Gray Collection brings together works from across Europe and the United states, illuminating affinities and tensions in the history of drawing. In conjunction with the exhibition, the Morgan produced a virtual conversation with Jim Dine, whose own work is featured in the show, discussing his drawing practice in relation to the history of Western art as represented in the exhibition by artists such as Veronese, Rubens, Ingres, Picasso, and Matisse.
